She had a tendency to hit the wrong button until we used red nail polish to distinguish the two. The only probem she has had is the "record" button is next to the "playback" button for the answering machine. We bought this telephone for our mother who has Macular Degeneration. She loves the big numbers and finds the phone easy to use.
Plus, the answering machine cuts off phone messages after ten seconds. Also, the other reviewer was dead-on: sound quality is terrible. The buttons are huge, but if you press them anywhere but in the exact center they don't work. Talk about frustrating.
You have to go to where the phone is located to hear the messages. Amazon is to be commended for not having this product available (as of this writing). I used one of these for about 2 years before a lightning strike finally gave it a death blow. As claimed, you can dial up the volume, but it is not clearer as advertised. This phone has a high price for what is really a very cheaply built product. Messages were often garbled to the point of not being understandable. You can't call in and get your messages.
Look elsewhere for a phone and anwsering system. It has large buttons, which is a good thing, however, they are more difficult to push down than other phones.
The louder it is the more difficult it is to understand. The answering macine barely worked when it was new. What if you're 500 miles away and want to call in for your messages.
The phone, as designed, has serious deficiencies. This falls into the realm of, "what were they thinking,' when they designed the answering system.
I expect that most would be returned. Think in terms of a very cheap speaker turned up to high volume.
A glaring design flaw is that there is no way to pick up your calls from a remote location.
